Masala Nimbu Shikanji (Spiced Lemonade)




Ingredients for Shikanji Masala:

  • Cumin seeds

  • Coriander seeds

  • Fennel seeds

  • Black pepper

  • Dry ginger powder

  • Black salt

  • Cardamom

  • Rock sugar (mishri)

Instructions to Prepare Masala:

  1. Dry roast cumin, coriander, fennel seeds, and black pepper in a pan until aromatic.

  2. Blend the roasted spices along with ginger powder, black salt, cardamom, and rock sugar into a fine powder.

  3. Store the spice mix in an airtight container for later use.

To Prepare the Drink:

  1. In a glass, add mint leaves, 1 tsp of the prepared shikanji masala, and lemon juice.

  2. Add ice cubes and pour chilled water or soda over it.

  3. Mix well and serve — a perfect summer cooler!


 Mango Summer Drink




Ingredients:

  • Raw mango (peeled and chopped)

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 green chili

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder

  • Black salt

  • Water

  • Mint leaves

  • Ice

  • Red chili powder (for garnishing)

Instructions:

  1. Blend raw mango pieces with sugar, green chili, cumin powder, black pepper, black salt, and some water until smooth.

  2. Add fresh mint leaves and blend again.

  3. Pour the mixture into a large jug or bowl and add more water and ice as desired.

  4. Rub red chili powder along the rim of serving glasses for a spicy twist.

  5. Pour the drink, garnish with mint leaves, and serve chilled.
